2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, profile picture, and username via our authentication provider (Clerk).
  • Profile Content: Display name, bio, social links, block configurations, uploaded images, and any other content you add to your Clinnk page.
  • Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Razorpay). We do not store your credit card or bank details directly.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Analytics Data: Page views, link clicks, device type, browser, operating system, approximate geographic location (country/city level), and referral source for your Clinnk page visitors.
  • Session Data: Anonymized session identifiers to measure engagement duration and click patterns.
  • Log Data: IP address, access times, and pages viewed for security and debugging purposes.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication Providers: We receive basic profile information (name, email, avatar) from Google, GitHub, or other OAuth providers you use to sign in via Clerk.
  • Import Data: If you use the import feature to migrate from Linktree, Beacons, or similar services, we process the publicly available data from those platforms to populate your Clinnk page.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Create and manage your account and profile page
  • Display analytics and insights about your page's performance
  • Process transactions and send billing-related communications
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
  • Send you updates about new features or changes to the Service (you can opt out at any time)
  • Improve and personalize the Service

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • Public Profile: Your Clinnk page (display name, bio, avatar, links, blocks) is publicly accessible by design. Do not include sensitive personal information in your profile content.
  • Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services to operate the platform:
    • Clerk — Authentication
    • Supabase — Database and file storage
    • Vercel — Hosting and edge delivery
    • Razorpay — Payment processing
    • Google Fonts — Typography rendering
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (backed by AWS infrastructure). We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on all database tables
  • Encrypted storage for sensitive credentials
  • HSTS, CSP, and other security headers on all pages
  • Regular security reviews and dependency updates

While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Clinnk uses minimal cookies strictly necessary for the Service to function:

  • Authentication cookies: Managed by Clerk to keep you signed in.
  • Session cookies: Anonymized session tokens for page view analytics.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information via your dashboard.
  • Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page in your dashboard. This action is permanent and irreversible.
  • Data Portability: Export your profile and link data.
  • Opt Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

8. Children's Privacy

Clinnk is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance).

10. International Data Transfers

Our servers are located in regions operated by AWS (via Supabase). If you access the Service from outside these regions, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws than your country of residence.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
